Cluster and Load Balancing
Do your customers depend on your site? Do you?
If the answer is yes, then a high-availability solution is the key.
WebHost.net can design and implement a fault-tolerant system for your mission critical applications. Clusters provide redundancy for your application and database server. Our load balancing solutions, utilizing Cisco Content Service Switches, provide fault tolerance at the Web server level.
We provide clusters running Windows NT, 2000, Linux or Solaris. A cluster is a set of two or more servers, or nodes, running as a single virtual server. In the event of a failure of a single node, the others continue to operate. This provides nearly perfect availability for your site. We also can configure clusters for performance. Performance clusters share the workload among multiple nodes.
Load balancing improves the response time of your busy Web site, improving the experience of your visitors. In the event that one of the Web servers in a load-balanced group fails, it is automatically removed from the rotation and all Web site traffic is directed to active Web servers.
